The current focus on well-being reflects a widespread concern about the state of our society and the quality of our own lives. There is a growing realisation that economic prosperity doesn’t have all the answers and that our nation needs a new direction. In this context of discontent, the language of well-being is attractive because it describes the goals for every individual human life.
