We have been working with our partners Team Focus to develop a survey version of our new online relational audit tools for use in a groundbreaking pilot project in South Africa.
A new corporate governance code (King III) in South Africa requires companies to report on their stakeholder relationships. Relationships Global, who are promoting the international use of tools and material developed by Relationships Foundation, have been working with the Institute of Directors in South Africa and PR and corporate governance specialists, to explore ways of helping companies to meet these new requirements.
Five major listed companies have joined a pilot project including the largest mobile phone network provider in Africa, the second largest insurance group in South Africa, the state electricity and phone companies, and a big industrial and mining conglomerate. Over the next few months they will identify their key stakeholders, and measure, evaluate and report on the strength and quality of those relationships using our Relational Proximity™ framework.
We are delighted that our tools are being used in this important project, and that there is the prospect of widespread international use. The learning and case studies from this project will also help us in promoting our tools to organisations in the UK.
