The many environmental pressures and challenges include climate change, air quality, access to water, soil fertility, plastics in the oceans and foodchains, hazardous waste and biodiversity of species. The risks in these areas are a product of economic, social and political relationships. If we address these relationships progress toward environmental goals will be faster.
We’ve seen some great examples of where attending to the relationships has made a difference. But if we don’t consistently think about relationships and manage them opportunities will be missed and pressures increased.
